requirements and provisions for the initial production lots (4.5.4 and Table IX) shall be
applied to the first article lot(s). In addition, the Government may also subject the first
article sample to some standard safety and performance tests for propellants.
4.3.3 First article rejection. If any sample fails to comply with any of the
applicable requirements, the first article quantity shall be rejected.
