6.1.1 Dwg. 9288695. Charge, Propelling, M67 Assembly uses M1 propellant
that contains basic lead carbonate. No lead foil is used in the increment loading
assembly, (Dwg. 9288696).
6.1.2 Dwg. 9205472. Charge Propelling, M67 Assembly uses
M1 propellant without basic lead carbonate and is used with lead foil in the charge
increment number 5 loading assembly (Dwg. 9205471).
6.2 Acquisition requirements. Procurement documents should specify the
following:
a.
Title, number and date of this specification.
b.
Issue of DODISS to be cited in the solicitation, and if required, the
specific issue of individual documents referenced.
c.
Acceptance and description sheets will be prepared for each lot in
accordance with MIL-STD-1171.
d.
Provisions for submission of first article samples.
e.
Type and form of the trinitrotoluene.
f.
Levels of preservation and packing.
g.
Item hazard classification.
h.
Requirements for submission of inspection equipment design(s).
6.3 Standard deviation. The standard deviation will be calculated with (n-1) as the
devisor in a standard statistical technique.
6.4 Submission of test data. In addition to the normal distribution of records,
when the propellant is procured by the Department of the Army, one copy of all ballistic
test data will be forwarded to : U.S. Army ARDEC, ATTN: AMSTA-AR-WEE-B (one
copy), and to ATTN: AMSTA-AR-QAT-P (one copy), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-
5000.
6.5 Acceptable packing and marking requirements. Packing and marking
requirements should be in accordance with MIL-STD-652.
6.6 Surveillance sample. Samples will be forwarded to U.S. Army ARDEC,
ATTN: AMSTA-AR-WEE-B, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000
6.7 Submission of product. At the time the completed lot of product is submitted
to the Government for acceptance the contractor will supply the following information
accompanied by a certificate which attests that the information provided is correct and
applicable to the product being submitted:
a.
A statement that the lot complies with all of the quality assurance
provisions specified within this specification.
b.
Number of batches of product inspected.
c.
Results obtained, by defect code, for all inspections performed.
d.
Drawing, specification number and date, together with an
identification and date of changes.
